The holiday season means holiday cards, and holiday cards mean . . . family pictures! We had family pictures taken again this year by Kacy Hughes, who also took our photos last year (2016 Family Pictures).
We did our session in early November at the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert. While I always love outdoor photography and that was a given, I historically prefer late afternoon photo sessions for the softer lighting. This year, I had to reschedule to a morning session and was unsure how the lighting would turn out. Luckily, the morning of our session was overcast, which makes it perfect for photos.
I picked out the photo for this year's holiday cards (it's not any of these), but there were many good shots and I'm looking forward to scrapbooking them. After I catch up on, you know, the 2016 family pictures that I've barely scrapbooked . . .
Since we were already doing a family photo shoot, I had my brother come with so that he could take a few pictures with us as well. I thought it'd be nice to give them to my mom so that she could share with her family since it is rare that there are photos taken of me and my brother together these days (it's just not our habit to).
