It's been . . . roughly seven months since my last post. Number of months since my last "real" post? I didn't even bother to look. So what's happened since June 28th? In chronological order:
- Our house in Vail (Tucson) sold during the honeymoon and we moved all our stuff to Phoenix
- I started work full time
- I visited Greg in Tucson on weekends while he was finishing his Master's of Accounting program at UA
- I lived down in Tucson for about a month with Greg while staffed on a work assignment there
- Greg and I bought a house in Laveen/Phoenix (55th Ave. and Baseline area)
- We went to San Diego for Greg's uncle's big wedding shindig and related festivities (and when I say big, I mean fancy and expensive)
- We went to Rocky Point for a weekend with Mike and Mikah Penn
- Greg graduated from his Master's program
- I found, to my disappointment, that those Croc ballet flats I talked about in my last post were - with 6 being the smallest size available - too big and wide for my size 5 feet
- Greg went to training for two weeks in Chicago at the beginning of January
- Greg started work half time while studying for the CPA
- Greg took the audit section of his CPA
I also went to a UA Alumni Associated-sponsored scrapbooking event with Emily last weekend that has inspired/motivated me to actually finish scrapbooking pages that I'd started as well as complete new pages. I've since been acquiring additional scrapbooking supplies to feed my growing addiction (much to Greg's dismay, as he already considers me to be the second worst ratpacker ever after his dad and mine, who tie for first place in the ratpacking rankings). I've managed to finagle craft space in our new house in a spare bedroom, though the most I can get currently is about 3 feet by 6 feet (read: one folding table).
I've also signed up to take a book binding class at Lucky 15, which is where Emily organized the super-fun bachelorette/shower event last May prior to the wedding. In the class, we'll be learning how to bind a set of cards into a book, which I think will be perfect for all the wedding cards we received. I can't bring myself to throw them out since they have sentimental value to me, and if I have them bound into a book, it's unlikely that Greg will make me throw them out. Anyway, it seems like it will be a fun class: Lucky 15 Keepsake Card Class Description. I haven't been back to Lucky 15 since the shower because it's just so far away, but I'm looking forward to it . . . I love going to little crafty/paper places like that because it inspires me to be more creative with what I'm going. By the way, the shower we had at Lucky 15 was featured in a blog entry: Girls' Night Out.
Maybe my new year's resolution should be to post more often.
