I think today is one of those “Where were you when blank happened?” days. Maybe not as good as “Where were you when Kennedy was shot?” but that’s not the point. 50 years ago, people would have never believed the President who was sworn in today. 50 years ago, Jim Crow laws still existed. 50 years ago . . . is not that long ago.
I’m amazed. I’m excited to see what will happen, if only because it is change. Maybe it’ll be change for the better. Or change for the worse. But that all depends on who you talk to.
People are so ready for change. I think there are high expectations of Obama. Can he live up to it? We’ll see.
